Tixel AfterCare

What to Expect From Tixel Treatments

Tixel treatments gradually improve the quality, texture, and elasticity of your skin. Over time, you can expect:

  • A more even and homogenous skin tone

  • Reduction in fine lines and wrinkle depth

  • Noticeable improvement in skin smoothness and firmness

Significant results are typically visible 3–6 months after completing your treatment series.

What to Expect After Each Treatment

Following your session, you may experience normal, temporary side effects as your skin heals and regenerates:

  • A mild heat sensation (similar to a sunburn) lasting up to 4 hours

  • Redness ranging from mild to moderate, typically resolving by day 3

  • Mild swelling, subsiding within 1–3 days

  • Tiny dot-like patterns on treated skin as it restores itself

  • A dry or sandpaper-like texture and a sensation of tightness

  • A mild to moderate exfoliation starting 3-4 days post treatment. Regular application of emollients for the first 5-7 days post treatment and strict adherence to the post treatment regiment will minimize down time.

Post-Treatment Care Instructions

Do

  • Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water to support skin recovery

  • Apply a bland emollient (starting 6 hours post-treatment) as often as needed to reduce dryness and tightness, ideally every 2–3 hours for the first few days

  • Continue antiviral or antibiotic medication as prescribed

  • Sleep slightly propped up for the first 1–2 nights to reduce swelling

Avoid

For best results and minimal downtime, avoid the following after treatment:

  • Washing the treated area until the next day

  • Smoking and alcohol, as they can impair healing and reduce treatment efficacy

  • Very hot baths or showers for 24 hours

  • Strenuous exercise for 24–48 hours

  • Exfoliants, scrubs, or abrasive substances for 3 weeks
