What to Expect After Your Morpheus8 Treatment

Mild side effects are normal and part of your skin’s natural healing process. You may experience:

  • Redness and warmth similar to a moderate sunburn immediately after treatment

  • Tightness or tenderness in the treated area

  • Square patches or small scabs forming within 24–48 hours (lasting up to 2 weeks)

  • Crusting or peeling for 3–7 days

  • Redness and swelling for up to 7 days

  • Bruising that may persist for several weeks

Post-Treatment Care

First 24 Hours

  • Apply only an occlusive ointment (such as Aquaphor) to keep skin protected and hydrated.

  • Avoid the following:

    • Avoid touching the area with unwashed hands

    • Avoid any active skincare products -Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula) or anything perceived as ‘active’ skincare.

    • Avoid makeup during this time.

    • Avoid direct sunlight for the first 24 hours.

    • For at least 24 hours post-treatment, avoid swimming and strenuous exercise

After 24 Hours

  • Cleanse: Use a gentle, soothing cleanser and lukewarm water. Pat dry, do not rub.
    Hydrate: Continue using a gentle moisturizer or healing ointment.

  • Protect:

    • After 24 hours, apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ physical sunscreen (zinc oxide or titanium dioxide).

    • Avoid chemical sunscreens containing oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate, or octinoxate.

  • Continue to avoid any active skincare products -Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinol (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula) or anything perceived as ‘active’ skincare.

After 48 Hours

  • Makeup: Can be applied after 48 hours (ensure brushes are clean).

Treatment Schedule and Maintenance

  • Initial series: 3 sessions spaced 6 weeks apart for optimal results

  • Maintenance: Every 6–12 months thereafter

  • Results: Gradual improvement, visible within 3–6 months of your first treatment

For ongoing skin tightening and maintenance, monthly Forma treatments are recommended after completing your initial series.

Your Morpheus8 treatments should be booked every 6 weeks for 3 sessions for optimal results, and then every 6-12 months thereafter. You should expect to see your results by 3-6 months after your first treatment.
